Forty-year-old Vittorio has a good job, a beautiful wife, two gorgeous sons and a magnificent house. All this has been achieved through effort and self-sacrifice, coupled with a profound ethical sense. He is an assistant surgeon in a private clinic. As well as being an excellent doctor, Vittorio also considers himself to be a good husband and a good father. He doesn’t suspect that some of the hidden workings behind his family’s apparent serenity are breaking down inexorably.
